Raging debate re online measurement

The debate over online measurement continues with the IAB meeting on the matter last week. The good news is that Publishers look set to invest up to $10m to improve the current system. It's a shame there still doesn't seem to be a firm course of action....... I rather appreciate Dominic Elfers POV that a combination of both Panel and Tagging would be best. Looks like this could be the general consensus....

Publishers join IAB board
SYDNEY: The heads of Australia's largest online publishers have joined the board of the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) Australia. Ninemsn's Tony Faure, Yahoo!7's Rohun Lund, Fairfax Digital's Nic Cola, News Digital Media's Nick Leeder and BigPond's Bill Burton have all joined the board. The publishers have agreed to invest additional resources to appoint a fulltime CEO for IAB Australia, who will be responsible for championing the continued growth and development of online advertising . A search process is underway and potential candidates are being invited to nominate themselves for consideration.
